regarding the 'tuft' of Acmosara polyxena. This seems to be formed by long scales on the thorax that can be erected to form a large 'tuft' but how many and how erect they are is variable. See the range on iNat (I know these are largely unvarified - this genus is in flux - a Tortricid? Yponomeutoidea? - also confusing sayig AxelK has verified 35 of 39 obs but that is not what I see !?)
