Saw 1 heard 3. Amazing to see it hovering expertly as it scoured the forest from crown to forest floor. It even came over to see what I was doing there stumbling through the undergrowth.
I hav added another (poor) photo if that helps.I didn't think other birds could hover and it was tiny.
Thanks, new photo looks to be a female mistletoe bird, but I’m not able to ID the bird in the first photo confidently. Maybe best to make a new sighting for it. @natureguy opinion?
Thanks Liam I had a look the other day at this one, wasn't convinced on Weebill with the level of detail present, the second image is definitely Mistletoebird, but I agree, not convinced they are even the same bird.
