Hey Trevor. It’s a species of Juncus, they often have the wiry look prior to their first flowering. I’d suggest J.remotiflorus based on location, but that is just a guess.

I’ve got something like 2000 mod alerts to sift through at the moment so it can take time for me to get around to these regional projects. If you’ve got something you’d like me to look at, definitely tag me!

@Tapirlord Knowing you are probably the best at rushes and sedges, I thought I might ask you about this plant. This one has me baffled, the leaves were so stiff and hard, quite round, and I haven't seen these types of warped stems before. Unfortunately no flowers or other distinguishing features to photograph, and only one plant sighted.
