Tiliqua rugosa aspera (Eastern Shingleback)

Tiliqua rugosa asper is the only subspecies native to eastern Australia, where it goes by the common name Eastern Shingleback. 

"T. r. aspera is more robust, with broader head, shorter thicker tail and larger, more rugose body scales. Colour and pattern variable but no orange flush on head."
